Masonry & alterations

Interior masonry is what disappears once the room is delivered — and yet it holds the whole project together. A renovated kitchen doesn't stand without a flat slab. A bathroom only looks good if the partition is plumb. Before the finish, there's the structure. Preparing it properly, without surprises, is my job.

Questions on masonry

The right questions, asked before the quote.

  • 01Do you do major structural work like foundations or load-bearing walls?

No, I specialise in interior renovation: partitions, openings, interior slabs, alterations. For foundations or new load-bearing walls, I'll refer you to a structural specialist.

  • 02Can you knock down a wall in my flat?

Yes, provided it isn't load-bearing (a structural engineer should confirm if in doubt). I handle the demolition, any necessary props, the lintel, and the clean finishing of the edges.

  • 03What materials do you use for partitions?

Depending on use: standard or moisture-resistant plasterboard (for wet rooms), plaster blocks for straight partitions, hollow bricks for greater thickness. I advise according to the desired acoustic insulation.
